Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how personal information is processed in connection with the TeleV application for Android TV (the "App") and the website telev.app (the "Website"), provided by the TeleV developer ("we", "us"). Contact: support@telev.app.
1. Relationship with Telegram
The App is an unofficial third-party client for Telegram and is not affiliated with Telegram. The App connects the user's device directly to Telegram's servers. Information exchanged with Telegram is processed by Telegram as an independent controller under its Privacy Policy. We do not have access to that information.
2. Information processed by the App
The following information is transmitted directly between the device and Telegram and is not received by us:
- sign-in information (phone number, verification code, two-step verification password, or QR login token);
- technical information required to establish a session, such as device type, app version, language, and IP address;
- requests for chats, channels, and media opened by the user.
The following information is stored locally on the device only: session credentials, a temporary media cache, and user preferences. This information is deleted upon logout or uninstallation of the App.
We do not collect, sell, or share personal information, and the App does not contain analytics or advertising components.
3. Website
The Website does not use cookies, analytics, or tracking technologies. Our hosting provider processes technical information, such as IP addresses, as necessary to deliver the Website.
4. Correspondence
If you contact us, we process your email address and the content of your message for the purpose of responding. Correspondence is retained for up to 24 months.
5. Service providers
Limited technical information may be processed by our service providers, including application distribution (Google Play), website hosting, domain, and email service providers, solely to provide their services.
6. Legal basis
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, processing is based on the performance of a contract (providing the App's functionality) and our legitimate interests (operating the Website and responding to inquiries).
7. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to access, rectify, or erase your personal information, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. Information stored by the App can be deleted directly, as described on the Data Deletion page. Requests concerning information held by us may be sent to support@telev.app and will be answered within 30 days. You may also lodge a complaint with a competent data protection authority.
8. International transfers
Information may be processed outside your country of residence by Telegram and our service providers, subject to appropriate safeguards as required by applicable law.
9. Security
Communication between the App and Telegram is encrypted in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
10. Children
The App is not directed at children under 13, or under the minimum age required in their country. Use of the App requires a Telegram account and is subject to Telegram's age requirements.
11. Changes
We may amend this Privacy Policy. The current version will be published on this page with its effective date.
